Vality developed solutions use new techniques for securing card numbers (PAN s) by adding different “identities” to the PAN. For CNP fraud detection, two different identities are added to the PAN, creating a pair of PAN+’s for issuer and users.

All this is done using a new game changing patented technology that can create a pair of two-dimensional PANs represented by PAN+, allowing different identities to be associated with the same PAN.

The ability to represent data in two dimensions brings a multitude of use cases. Two-dimensional data is not based on encryption or tokenization, so it is not vulnerable to hackers or to Quantum Computing attacks.

Vality 2DFD Platform is based on Quantum Randomness that enables new method of securing card numbers, detecting any suspicious activity during transactions and is able to block rogue transactions before they are approved.

In 2DFD Platform, a two-dimensional PAN is represented by PAN+, and it allows different PAN identities to be created, for:

  • Issuer at its card database
  • Consumer at their mobile devices.

The PAN+ pair carry dynamic information that is used by the Vality Platform software to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions.

The ability to represent data in two dimensions brings a multitude of use cases. As this data is not based on encryption or digital keys, it is not vulnerable to Quantum Computing attacks in the near future.
